Jammu, Mar 28 (KNO): As the process for the crucial Lok Sabha election is in the progress, a senior Congress party leader Harbans Bral joined Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in Jammu Thursday and the party General Secretary Ashok Koul welcomed him into the party. Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta was also present on the occasion. According to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) hundreds of Bral's supporters also joined BJP. Welcoming Bral and others into the party, General Secretary organisation, Ashok Koul said that anyone who believes in the Ideology of BJP, which means works to strengthen the nation and empower masses, is welcome into the party. He said that BJP is a party which works for the poor and needy and every worker of the party is engaged in the upliftment of the person standing last in the queue. "People of Jammu and Kashmir are witnessing the transformation of the region, which is inching towards a better future and development and added that after the abrogation of 370 a new era of development has been initiated in the state," Koul said. He asked the new entrants to work for all sections of society with zeal and dedication, while working at the ground level to seek the support for the Modi government in Lok Sabha election—(KNO)
